What do you know about this place?

  

    Dear readers, my name is Cristian López, I am a student in my last semester of psychology, I am 27 years old and I love to draw, watch movies and basically all graphic content (comic, manga, tv shows, videos). This blog is about Hong Kong, so I'll start by talking about everything I know about this region of the world.
    Well, I am not sure what Hong Kong is, in my mind, this is a city in the big China, but I am not sure, because in the past Hong Kong was a British colony, and now is something like a independent city into China. The only thing I am sure about it, is this place is a comercial center, and many international business are made there. I know that Hong Kong is in the north of China, near Macao, which is another of the cities with a high degree of independence within China. 
    

    I'm not sure of the dates, but sometime in the 19th century, China went through the famous opium war, against Great Britain. The war happened because the British were trafficking opium from the Chinese regions, and the imperial government decided that this could not continue to happen, so it tightened security measures and all this unleashed the war. Hong Kong is a port city, commercial since its inception, the British won the war and China ceded the city to the crown, something like this goes history.
    At the end of the 20th century, Hong Kong was once again part of the Chinese empire, I don't know much more than it suffered an economic crisis due to the currency exchange, another due to a respiratory disease and that it had a very famous omicide case called "Hello Kitty Murder".
